Heroestick Walkthrough

Heroestick is a stick figure strategy game developed by Belugerin Studios. This stick game features two modes of gameplay, epic music, and challenging gameplay.

The two modes of gameplay featured in Heroestick are Campaign Mode and Arcade Mode. Campaign Mode follows the storyline of the game. Each mission in this mode has its own victory conditions which must be met in order to advance to the next. There are three factions available to play as, each with their own unique units. When you first start this stick figure game, only the Blue Sky Kingdom and the Red Hawk Kingdom will be available. Beat the campaign with one of these factions to unlock the third, green faction. The fourth campaign is unavailable in this version of the game.

The second mode of this stick-figure game is Arcade Mode. Arcade mode is straightforward and has no storyline or victory conditions, just batter your enemies into submission! Levels become increasingly difficult as you progress. Your progress is saved in both modes of gameplay. It should be noted that if you want to play as the green faction in Arcade Mode, you must first unlock it by beating one of the two initial campaigns in Campaign Mode.

Heroestick has gameplay similar in concept to previous games developed by Belugerin Studios, such as Humaliens, but with some major differences. Your objective is still to overwhelm the enemy force so that you can slip past their defenses and destroy their base (while preventing them from doing the same to you), but you will also have to manage resources in this stick game. Grain and gold are required to train soldiers to fight for your kingdom. For this reason, it is best to train as many farmers and miners as you can to start harvesting resources. Once you have enough gold and food to train troops, start producing them to defend your resource gatherers and take the fight to the enemy! Be sure to deploy troops in all lanes so that you have a better chance of halting the enemy advance and slipping past their defense.

Heroestick is not the most unique or breathtaking strategy game, but fans of the genre may appreciate it. Casual gamers may be turned off by this stick-figure game's dry appearance and foreboding level of difficulty. In my book, Heroestick gets a solid seven out of ten; not the most unique or graphically-pleasing game, but worth a try if you are a fan of strategy games.
